Weird ideology turns the wheels in wicked little Iraqi minds!

Bush complained  today that “ideology” motivates the Iraqi insurgents (in contradistinction to the obvious fact that power madness and greed motivated his administration’s invasion of the country). At the very least the Iraqi insurgents (even given their likely complexity and variety) are all motivated by a strange and mixed-up ideology that says, “Stay the fuck out of my country, you assholes!” I think that is an ideology most reasonable people would understand. I think they are also motivated by a sense of being an aggrieved party given the huge numbers of Iraqis killed by the U.S. and the continuing immiseration of the Iraqi people under the shadow of the U.S. occupation and its puppet government.  Strange indeed, but only to those Americans that just don't get it because their brains are fried by Fox News and bad old fashioned nationalist pride.
